The 5.11 Tactical Short and 5.11 Academy Short feature our patented rear strap and slash pockets. The Tactical short is identical to our pant, but with a 9” inseam (women’s inseam is 8”). The Academy short features slightly different, wrap-around pockets and a 6.5” inseam. Choose from 8.5-oz., 100% cotton canvas or 7.4-oz. nylon canvas.

Propper BDUs are sewn to military specification MIL-T-44047E and feature six pockets, four of which with button flaps. Both seat and knee are double-reinforced and this trouser also has felled inseam, out seam and seat seam. Other features include fused pocket flaps, a four-button fly, adjustable waist tabs with 4 bar tacks and drain holes in the Bellows pockets. We’re excited to introduce a new product built specifically for the plainclothes or undercover operator – the 5.11 Covert Khaki. These khakis feature an 8.8-oz., wrinkle and fade-resistant cotton twill that’s been treated with Teflon® for stain and soil resistance. The pants feature a flat front and a total of 8 pockets: two traditional style front pockets, each with interior zipper-closed pockets for magazines or accessories, plus two standard rear pockets and two concealed vertical thigh pockets with zippers hidden along the side seams.
